    THE AJMER SHARIF DARGAH

    Located in the heart of Ajmer, Ajmer Sharif Dargah is the revered shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishti. The saint arrived in Ajmer in the late 12th century and spent his life spreading the message of peace, compassion and devotion. After his passing in 1236, his resting place became one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India. The Dargah complex reflects centuries of history, with grand gateways, marble courtyards and architectural details shaped by different rulers and patrons over time. Today, it continues to draw visitors from across India and around the world, making it an important part of experiencing Ajmer's spiritual and cultural heritage.

    ADHAI DIN KA JHONPRA

    One of Ajmer's most distinctive historic monuments, Adhai Din Ka Jhonpda is known for its intricate stone carvings, ornate pillars and unique architectural character. Originally built as a Sanskrit college in the 12th century, the structure was later converted into a mosque under Sultan Ghori. Its architecture reflects a fascinating blend of Indian craftsmanship and Indo-Islamic influences.     Built in the 12th century by Arnoraja, the grandfather of Prithviraj Chauhan, Ana Sagar Lake is one of Ajmer's best-known landmarks. The artificial lake spreads across a large part of the city and is surrounded by gardens, historic pavilions and open views. The area around the lake is ideal for a relaxed break from sightseeing. Take a walk, enjoy the views across the water or spend some time around Daulat Bagh and the historic Baradari. It is one of the easier places to add to an Ajmer itinerary.

    SONI JI KI NASIYAN

    Soni Ji Ki Nasiyan is a prominent Jain temple in Ajmer, known for its distinctive architecture and elaborate interiors. Built in the late 19th century, the temple is particularly known for its Swarna Nagari, or “City of Gold”, an ornate chamber featuring detailed gold-plated wooden figures depicting scenes from Jain tradition. The temple offers a different perspective on Ajmer's cultural and religious heritage and is worth including for visitors interested in architecture, art and history.

    Located on the outskirts of Ajmer along the Jaipur highway, Nareli Jain Temple, also known as Shri Gyandaya Tirth Kshetra, is a striking Jain pilgrimage site set against the Aravalli landscape. The temple is known for its distinctive combination of traditional Jain elements and contemporary architecture. The temple complex is surrounded by 24 smaller shrines, known as Jainalay, representing the 24 Jain Tirthankars. For Digambara Jains, Nareli is an important place of pilgrimage, while its architecture and setting also make it an interesting addition to an Ajmer sightseeing itinerary
